How do I schedule a furniture pick-up?

Please don't call the Merciful HELP Center to arrange a pickup, unless you do not have the ability to email.

When you email [email protected], you will get an immediate email with some practical information you need to donate furniture. The MHC furniture ministry does not have an office or phone at the Merciful HELP Center; it is made up of many very dedicated volunteers. This committee is very dedicated and hard-working, and they will typically respond to your email within 48 hours! We appreciate your patience. Again, please email [email protected]

Wondering if your furniture donation meets our requirements?

• All furniture must be clean and free of rips, stains, and pet hair.
• Appliances should be in working order and clean inside and out.
• We accept items from single-family dwellings in Hamilton County.  
• We reserve the right to decline furniture donations from condos, townhouses. Bed bug infestations are on the rise in Hamilton County, specifically in multi-family units. We do not accept furniture from storage units, apartments, or duplexes.
• We accept donations of: 

1. beds (twin, full, and queen - mattress, frames, box springs) Again no rips, stains or pet hair 
2. bunk beds, bunky boards, headboards, footboards
3. ottomans, footstools
4. couches, love seats and living room chairs, lazy boys and lift chairs 
5. washers and dryers, refrigerators, freestanding stoves
6. kitchen table and chairs, bar stools
7. coffee and end tables; dressers and nightstands.
8. small tables of any kind, and small TV stands

All of your furniture will go directly to a family in need. In the email, please include your name, phone number, address, and the items you have to donate. They will contact you by phone to schedule the pick-up. The MHC's furniture ministry delivers and picks up furniture about 3 to 4 times per week, according to what time volunteers have to give.

We cannot /DO NOT accept the following items:

1. televisions 
2. used cribs, crib mattresses, car seats or diaper pails,
3. sleeper sofas 
4. entertainment centers
5. office furniture
6. dishwashers
7. under counter or built-in microwaves, cooktops or ovens/double ovens

*Note: Please do NOT donate furniture at the MHC Building! We cannot accommodate you in this way and it makes the process very difficult for us. We do not have storage at the Merciful HELP Center.

We rely solely on volunteers, but we are the only groups that give furniture for free in Hamilton County. We are VERY busy, which is why we have to limit our intake and what we give to basic needs.
