Evan Hansen blessed our lives by interning at the Merciful HELP Center in the Spring and Summer of 2018. Each day, Evan came into the Merciful HELP Center with his compassionate heart and showed empathy to all who called or entered. His kindness touched the lives of the guests we serve at the Merciful HELP Center. We will forever remember his gentleness and extreme care he took with every interaction and will continue to be inspired by his genuine heart.
In Memory of Evan, his parents Chuck and Mary Hansen started the Evan R. Hansen Legacy Foundation. Each year, this important foundation provides $6,000.00 towards funding our internship program here at the MHC. This is in memory of the amazing work Evan did at The Merciful HELP Center and gives others an opportunity to experience the hands-on work that Evan did. We are searching for two summer interns that can support our mission as a basic needs organization. If selected for this internship you will be at the center of what this organization does every day, providing dignity to those who are in need.
This summer the interns will help coordinate the Carmel Summer Lunch and Back Sack program which feeds approx. 400 children per week and support our annual Tools for School program providing children with backpacks, supplies, tennis shoes, underwear and socks, lightweight jackets, and food for the coming school year. These events are the two largest programs we hold through the Merciful HELP Center.
These are paid internships and are great resume builders. To apply please send a resume, cover letter, and two references to this email to Jayne Slaton: [email protected]
