Frequent Questions and Comments:
Q: "I am looking for food that helps my family to be healthy, can I find that at the Merciful HELP Center?"
A: We focus on family health! We offer fresh fruits and vegetables as well as 4 meat options whenever possible at the Merciful HELP Center Choice Food Pantry, We also do our best to offer things that help families maintain an allergen-free diet, low sodium, keto, and vegan diets. We rescue foods from grocery stores that offer gluten-free products. We are always striving to collect foods that help families cook wholesome healthy meals.
Statement: "I would love to have laundry detergent, but I don't have a washer or dryer and I struggle to pay my water bill as it is!"
Reply: We have washers and dryers for families with children upon request and paperwork verification, and we have budgeting classes that will show you that your increase and water and electricity is far less than the cost of a laundry mat. We deliver the washer and dryer to your place, so there are no worries about that either! As you check into the Choice Food Pantry, tell the receptionist of your need and she will complete a Blue Card to request your needs.
Q: "I already receive food stamps and don't want to take food that other people might need!"
A: One part of the food pantry that sets us apart is our hygiene aisle, providing items that are not covered by food stamps. This aisle contains laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, shavers, feminine hygiene products, bar soap, toothbrush and paste, deodorant, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and other items.
